Tips

These are tips I have heard from TV shows / elders.., which I use regularly.

1. To get soft Idli'es soak Idli Rice in Hot water.
2. To avoid tears while cutting onions, Light the candle.
3. to get soft chapati's add 2 spoon of cooking oil / 2 spoon of milk while preparing dough.
4. If you feel green chillies are too hot.., then remove seeds & use it.
5. Adding Potato pieces to any dish (like rice bath), helps to reduce the salt. i.e potato pieces absorbs extra salt contents form the dish.
6. Dry roast flax seeds & in a mixer , powder flax seeds, mix/add directly with any dishes like rasam, saaru, raita etc.
7. If the Idly batter is overflowing from then container after fermentation, then cover the batter with banana leaf before keeping it for fermentation.
